Uncaged – The Best of Nicolas Cage
April 19-21, 24 + 25 // Tickets on sale now
Over the past 40 years, Nicolas Cage has worked with everyone from the Coen Brothers to David Lynch. He’s had his face swapped with John Travolta, he stole the Declaration of Independence, and he’s even been a vampire…twice! Critics and the internet love him, but what exactly makes Nicolas Cage, well, Nicolas Cage? Find out at the Davis Theater with our Uncaged series, highlighting some of our favorite performances that are wholly unique to Cage. Joining us for our screenings of Moonstruck will be Zach Schonfeld, author of How Coppola Became Cage. Stick around after the show for a Q&A on all things Cage, plus a book signing!

Dracula, Prisoner of Frankenstein
March 28th @ 7pm // presented by Oscarbate & Severin Films
Inspired by Universal’s 1940s monster mashups, writer/director Jess Franco instead delivers one of the most surreal but captivating films of his entire career: using minimal dialogue and maximum gothic atmosphere, Franco crafts a fever dream of horror iconography in which Count Dracula, Dr. Frankenstein, his assistant Morpho, and Frankenstein’s monster battle gypsies, showgirls, Dr. Seward, and a werewolf. Like something born from a dream, spiraling into an almost freeform excursion of classic horror iconography, DRACULA PRISONER OF FRANKENSTEIN melds 1970’s exploitation, gothic horror, and 1920’s German expressionism in a way only Jess Franco could. This future cult classic can finally be seen the way it was meant to, now scanned in 4k from Spanish, French and German release prints to create the longest and most comprehensive version known to exist.
